Scaling PAM and Wallet Services for Big Match Nights
Traffic spikes around major events are predictable. Here is how to make sure logins, deposits and bets keep working when they arrive.

A final, a derby or a big fight night can bring many times your normal concurrent players within minutes. The services that usually break first are not the games. They are login, wallet and payments.
Keep the wallet boring
The wallet should do one thing: move money correctly. Keep promotions, loyalty and analytics out of the transaction path and feed them from events instead. A lean wallet is far easier to scale and far easier to trust.
Load test the real journey
- Log in, deposit, place a bet, receive settlement, withdraw
- Include third-party calls such as KYC and payment providers
- Test with realistic data volumes, not an empty database
- Rehearse failover, not just scale-up
Degrade gracefully
When something external slows down, the platform should shed optional work first, such as recommendations, non-critical notifications and heavy reports, so that core betting and payments keep running.
